🌿 This is a full-day retreat designed to guide you through a deep journey of self-care, healing, discovery, alignment and empowerment.

🌿 This retreat is a unique blend of somatic movement using the Franklin Method, my own Somatic Pilates taught from a Polyvagal Perspective, and breathwork, carefully crafted to support you in cultivating body awareness, release tension from your body and mind, and enhance your well-being.

Explore gentle, mindful movement practices designed to help you reconnect with your body and release any deep-seated tension or emotional blockages. Somatic movement is a powerful tool for increasing body awareness*and fostering deep healing from within.

🌷My Somatic Pilates - By integrating body awareness, deeper connection, and gentle yet powerful movement, Somatic Pilates can provide a wide range of benefits in the mind body and spirit.

Become more attuned to how your body moves, where you hold tension, and how your muscles engage.  Improve your overall movement patterns and fostering a deeper mind-body connection. Work with less force and tension in your body - when you work in Somatic Pilates lots of the chronic stress and tension you hold falls away. The focus on embodied and deeper breathing helps you not only connect with you but helps you regulate your nervous system and help you body have a greater sense of ease and comfort and increases mental clarity

Become more grounded in what you do: By focusing on the sensations in your body and the quality of your movement, you create a deeper connection between your mind /body which in turn improves your embodiment of Pilates but also feeling of ease within yourself.

🌷Learn to harness the power of your breath to reduce stress, calm your mind, and activate your body’s natural healing response Breathwork is an essential practice for emotional release, relaxation, and creating a deeper connection to yourself.

🌷 Throughout the day, have space for your own moments for reflection, journalling and deep relaxation set in the beautiful Garden Rooms in Newton Meadows near to Shrewsbury, with tranquil spaces, views of the Shropshire Hills.

🌷 This is a time and space to really connect back into you, feel ground, resilient and more in your own body and a chance to integrate the physical practices with a mental reset leaving you feeling rejuvenated and centered.

🌷 If you have never experienced Somatic Movement before you are welcome as the session is taught in a way that people of many different backgrounds can access. You will learn about the world of movement through the organs, vagal tone and something called interoception which is our inner state of wellbeing.

🌷 If you are a movement professional you will find some useful resources, or if you are interested in Somatics or are a practitioner yourself come and discover Somatics from Franklin Method® and a therapeutic Polyvagal perspective - my two principal practices, although there are many more that I also use.
