Personal Training for Comprehensive & Remedial Pilates / Somatic Movement - In Person in Birmingham or Virtual.
Transformation at a pace right for you, a bespoke way of moving addressing your concerns, issues or goals, using my specialist mind-body Somatic skills combined with specialist Pilates techniques and experience within a Virtual or In Person Setting .
Healthy, optimal movement can be attained when you start with the belief that you can change your body and your way of thinking about how you move.
Having the support of a mind body movement professional who really understands movement and what your body may need at any given time can help you move towards what you want to achieve. You don’t have to do it on your own, and you will be working with someone who has travelled a massive movement journey herself, who really understands what a movement journey can feel like at every level. I share my own story here.
Holistic and healthy movement is not about aesthetics but is about how you feel, and your ability to enjoy your life and living to the optimal level for you. Along the way you will notice you start feeling better, in your body, the way you hold or carry it through life, and those little aches and pains disappear.
If you do work in a specific modality it is about finding comfort in your own body so you understand how your body works, how movement feels that is healthy and how to make this work within a modality such as dance or Pilates.
What I don’t have is a magic bullet to make every issue in your body go away, rarely did anything in your body happen overnight, but may have taken a while to appear. However, if you are prepared to give your time to improving yourself so much is possible and I continually discover more and more in my own body. Never say never!
What I do have is a very rare skills set, depth of experience and verified qualifications that allows me to work with you on a much deeper level within Pilates (all forms!), Buff Bones®, Franklin Method®, my Somatic Pilates, Somatic Movement using any or all of the different trainings I have. The way forwards is determined once I have a full picture of what you are trying to achieve as well as your own story about movement and what your concerns and goals are. I continue to work with the very best teachers in the world in all aspects of my own movement work and my teaching, and this continues to feed into the work I do with you.
You can work with me 1:1 virtually or in person in Birmingham or Shropshire. You can now work with me in the Pilates Studio in Birmingham as well!

Transformation is a personal journey that differs for each person, and so as you change the nature of how you move, think, and feel, also starts to change.
Inspirational stories from my clients - let them inspire you as much as they inspire me - both have had and continue to have a huge journey of transformation…
“I have been working with Sarah since being diagnosed with osteoporosis. Sarah has been able to ease my associated fear of movement, especially falling. Over time Sarah has been extremely helpful in increasing my overall strength and fitness in several areas where the impact of osteoporosis may be most severe in the future. This includes identifying the causes of my back pain and teaching me suitable exercise programmes based on Buff Bones® to reduce it. Sarah is an excellent and kind teacher and her attention to detail continues to be of great benefit in my day to day life and gives me both motivation and hope for the future.”

“After I injured my back, I was often in discomfort, and my body felt weaker and quite limited in its mobility. There was a time where I was unable to sit down for more than 30 minutes at a time without feeling uncomfortable. Working with Sarah has been life-changing as it has not only allowed me to properly and safely consolidate the advice provided by my physiotherapist in order to improve the condition of my back but, with attention to detail and a carefully curated Pilates programme—designed to suit me and my lifestyle—Sarah has helped me to build strength in all areas of my body, particularly my back, glutes and legs. As a person who was previously glued to my laptop, living a fairly sedentary life, Pilates with Sarah opened up the door to movement which has allowed me to become more active and improve my overall health.
Working 1:1 with Sarah has provided a level of care and attention that I have not found in previous group settings. All bodies are different and due to life events or even the monthly cycle for those who menstruate, operate at different levels every day. Every session, Sarah will first assess how I am feeling, ask about any issues that have cropped up with my health, physical or mental, and will then design our lesson based on first addressing any new issues causing discomfort, if needed, whilst also ensuring that we continue to work towards my long term goals that we have agreed upon together.
It’s difficult to choose the ‘best thing’ that I get from Pilates practice as there are so many positive outcomes. Above everything else, Pilates makes me feel strong and in control of my body. It has provided me with a new sense of confidence in my abilities as I have watched my body perform in a way I once thought was not possible”.
