How my clients feel working with me in Somatic Pilates & Buff Bones®…

“I worked for many years as a psychotherapist and would have benefited much earlier in my career from understanding my body from the perspective Sarah has given me in my one to one sessions. With her guidance and help she has really enabled me to identify/ explore particular issues through paying attention to my body and movement. The sessions with Sarah have been invaluable and made a huge difference to my emotional and physical well being. Most of all her classes are really enjoyable. She has sorted out my ongoing back and shoulder problems and given me the skills to develop my own practice at home.”

— J.W. Retired Psychotherapist Virtual & London

“I cannot recommend Sarah enough.

Having contacted her for a beginner’s Pilates session she quickly identified a knee issue that had been causing me problems for years. She worked through several movements with me over a number of sessions to try to correct that fault and I am pleased to say that I now have more movement in my leg than I have had for ages.

I have been looked at by several physios over the years (at substantial personal cost and temporary success) - but she has absolutely nailed it and I couldn’t be happier.”

— K.H, TV & Film Editor Virtual

“I have been working with Sarah since being diagnosed with osteoporosis. Sarah has been able to ease my associated fear of movement, especially falling. Over time Sarah has been extremely helpful in increasing my overall strength and fitness in several areas where the impact of osteoporosis may be most severe in the future.  This includes identifying the causes of my back pain and teaching me suitable exercise programmes based on Buff Bones to reduce it. Sarah is an excellent and kind teacher and her attention to detail continues to be of great benefit in my day to day life and gives me both motivation and hope for the future”.

— J.W. Artist Birmingham

“Working with Sarah has been my first experience of Pilates, it has allowed me to understand that mindfulness is not just based on physical movements, but also on the mind-body connection. Sarah’s approach is incredibly holistic, she helps me tune into my body’s signals and identifies where subtle tension affects larger movements in my body. Her focus on mindfulness and breathwork has made me more aware of my body and its alignment, and her calmness is contagious! I always leave sessions feeling aligned and with a new sense of calm.

— A.B. Consultant Birmingham

“Thank you for all your support working through the issues resulting from my fracture, I really appreciate your attentiveness and expertise. You’re a brilliant and gifted teacher”.

— E.V. Artist London

“After I injured my back, I was often in discomfort, and my body felt weaker and quite limited in its mobility. There was a time where I was unable to sit down for more than 30 minutes at a time without feeling uncomfortable. Working with Sarah has been life-changing as it has not only allowed me to properly and safely consolidate the advice provided by my physiotherapist in order to improve the condition of my back but, with attention to detail and a carefully curated Pilates programme - designed to suit me and my lifestyle. Sarah has helped me to build strength in all areas of my body, particularly my back, glutes and legs. As a person who was previously glued to my laptop, living a fairly sedentary life, Pilates with Sarah opened up the door to movement which has allowed me to become more active and improve my overall health”.

— R.K. Executive Birmingham

“After a lot of research, I chose to work with Sarah because of her depth of experience, skills and holistic approach… Over time and through a period of significant injury recovery, she has strengthened my body and built my confidence in ways I didn’t expect. Her guidance has been a huge part of my journey.

She draws on her extensive knowledge to create thoughtful lesson plans, but she also listens closely to how I’m feeling, what I want to work on and what I hope to achieve, then adapts with care and intuition. Her balance of support and challenge is spot on. It’s a level of personalised guidance that has made a real difference to my progress.

After every class, I feel more balanced, stronger and aligned, both physically and mentally. Pilates with Sarah is always a worthwhile investment of time and energy, no matter how tired I am or how demanding my day has been. It has given me a much deeper connection with my body and consistently lifts my mind, helping me navigate the physical and emotional stresses of everyday life.”

Franklin Method® Intensive:

Integrated Psoas and Nervous System Regulation

7 June 2026.

Newton Meadows, Shrewsbury, Shropshire

“I attended Sarah’s somatic event the Felt Heart in February.   Sarah created a safe and welcoming space for us.  We learnt about our heart and breath. We did gentle movement and journaling.   I really started to understand how to move and breathe in an embodied way.   I now have some tools to help me when I am overwhelmed.  I highly recommend Sarah. She is kind and very skilled”. J.S. Pilates Professional Returning Home: The Felt Heart Somatic Retreat for Women’s Wellness, Shropshire

“Personally, I valued the space and the small group which created a very personal experience with a clear connection to the other participants, whose stories were very powerful. I loved the softness of the approach and the connection to the beautiful and powerful act of breathing and how breath connects to all systems of the body (the soma) including physical, emotional and spiritual. Breath is apparently such a simple act and yet such a beautiful act of self care and healing which can easily be incorporated into daily life and practice.” A.G. How my somatic movement and dancer clients feel…

“I experienced your demonstration in “Tuning Into the Senses” and was enchanted. Something just ‘clicked’ and ‘made sense’ to me. I felt this cloud of trust envelope me and felt a confidence I’ve not known before. Once again, thank you so very much!”

—E.F. Participant, The Franklin Method® Virtual Livestream: Tuning into the Senses: Embodying the Enteric System, 2025.

— L.R. Nutritionist with Specialist Focus on Hypermobility and Dancer Health, former dancer.

I attended your pelvic floor workshop about a month ago, and I wanted to thank you again. It was truly eye-opening for me, and I deeply value everything I learned. I can honestly say that the embodied approach you teach feels like something my body needs and deserves—especially after years of pushing my body and dealing with pudendal nerve inflammation a little over two years ago.

-Martina Berger, Women’s Wellness Practioner, Franklin Method® Pelvic Floor Immersive, Edinburgh

My body feels more integrated, less tense, freer and alive. I’m learning about how much tension and gripping I used to do… movement doesn’t have to be like that as it can just feel so easy”

-Social Dancer, Franklin Method® Classes London

“Sarah’s enthusiasm and passion for sharing her knowledge of anatomy, coupled with her deep experiential understanding of the subtle rhythms of the body result in engaging classes; while her creativity in explaining these ideas and capacity to bring them into an embodied experience make the learning experientially-informed.
I’m so impressed by her own capacity for embodiment and her passion for sharing this with others, in which gentle attention and curiosity results in movement that’s joyful and pleasurable. By the end of her sessions I feel relaxed and delighted by the potential of my body as a place of rejuvenation and power...
Sarah’s evening Franklin sessions are an invaluable part of my week. Thank you, Sarah!”

Somatic Movement Education

Somatic movement & the practice of embodiment, or realising and feeling aspects of our bodies connects us to the whole of ourselves.

Somatic movement is liberating, powerful & transformative not just of movement but of your life in a holistic way.

Somatic work is holistic, never about hurt, discomfort or pushing your body beyond what it was designed to do.

It keeps you, the individual, at the centre.

Away from any worry of judgement, pressure or criticism. A different way of moving, thinking & feeling.

When both ourselves and our bodies are supported so much more is possible.

Join Sarah in Eric Franklin’s Virtual Studio this Thursday. Discover how heart-initiated movement, breath, and anatomical imagery create quiet confidence and upright alignment without the "holding." Perfect for effortless sitting and standing.

Available for international guest teaching & somatic workshops for dance companies & movement studios.
