Autumn 2025 Somatic Day Retreat
Autumn, the beautiful season of change, letting go, contraction and quietness….
🍁 Come and join me on my latest Somatic Day retreat: Strong, Steady and Spacious.
🍁 This year, my focus is on Bones, Breath and Balance. It offers space to ground into your body with calm, inner strength and confidence.
🍁 It’s not always about doing less but working with intention, nourishment and deeper connection with you.
🍁 My Autumn Day Retreat is a space for women navigating the complexities of ever changing hormones, energy, roles and responsibilities. Its a chance for you to step out of everyday life and into a space where your wellbeing is prioritised.
🍁 You’ll be guided by me, a Registered Professional Somatic Movement Educator and Therapist and international faculty member for the Buff Bones® system, a Comprehensive and Remedial Pilates teacher and Somatic Therapist currently completing her final supervision. My unique blend of movement, breath, embodied anatomy and therapuatic care provides a container for restoration and a place where you can ask questions, as all of my retreats are very limited in number.
🍁 We will be moving using the somatic movement system that is Buff Bones® which is a mix of Pilates, functional movement, somatics and therapeutic exercise (you can discover more about that on my Buff Bones® page!)
🍁 And having found that ground we will then look at ways to improve balance in the body, using the somatic processes of Franklin Method®
🍁 Then time for a vegetarian lunch (vegans and allergies please let me know in advance)
🍁 And after lunch working on discovering space within the body using the embodied breathwork of Franklin Method® journeying through the lungs, the organ of autumn, to gain space and internal regualtion. Nervous system work is incredibly important for everyone, and is a component of your holistic health and wellbeing.

🍁 And if its chilly we have the cosy log fire here to keep our bodies and spirits glowing!
🍁 Our venue is the beautiful Newton Meadows, where if the weather is good you can see across the landscape the hills of Shropshire. The gardens are here for you to take a walk in and our movement space looks out on my beloved pine trees.

“Absolutely loved today, the venue and your teaching style. I feel very relaxed. Would love to do some more”. K.M Seasonal Somatic Retreat November 2024
“The retreat day was so relaxing in terms of location- beautiful rural scenery, warm almost festive sense of comfort from the fire, and healthy snacks and drinks on offer. Sarah brought the potentially baffling area of somatics to life and made it really relatable. For someone like me with a significant eye issue I learned techniques to refresh tired eyes and feel more comfortable. It was fascinating to hear about the vagus nerve and how your well-being can be enhanced and senses enlivened and refreshed with somatic movements. The whole day was firstly relaxing and the theory of the system was fascinating to learn about. I would recommend Sarah’s retreats to any on whether they want intellectual stimulation, body and mind relaxation, or both.” 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Sue, Seasonal Somatic Retreat November 2024
