Join me for a deeply embodied, experiental day of exploration through the Franklin Method - a practical, science-led somatic approach to improving movement, posture, and wellbeing through imagery, anatomy, biomechanics, and somatic awareness in movement and breath.

Franklin Method has been a way of life for me now for over a decade and I work with it every day with my own clients. I’ve come a long way with it from being a curious human to becoming an expert in it, a regulated Master in the profession of Somatic Movement and Somatic Therapy, and I have also taught in Eric Franklin’s own Virtual Studio as a guest teacher. I work with Franklin Method in my role as a Comprehensive Pilates teacher and I’ve taught it across the world as a guest teacher for dancers and at Dance Schools in the UK too. I also work with it in dance at my Centre for Advanced Training with my dancers too. So I have so much experience I want to share with Pilates teachers, Yoga teachers, dancers as well as those who are curious and just enjoy moving, because Franklin Method is about being and feeling optimal in your own body, and it makes you feel so good!

In my intensive day retreat on the Franklin Method Integrated Psoas and Nervous System Regulation, you will explore:

What You’ll Explore

  • The psoas in context: Far beyond “core engagement” - discover how this muscle connects your spine, your breath, your legs, and your nervous system into one integrated whole.

  • Dynamic imagery & embodiment: Use Franklin Method’s proven approach of dynamic neurocognitive imagery to access ease, fluidity, and responsive strength in the psoas without gripping or tension.

  • The dynamic flow of our muscles to help us integrate as whole within our legs, core and spine and breath.

  • Nervous system regulation: Understand why the psoas is so entangled with threat response, grounding, and parasympathetic activation - and how movement and breath can reshape this relationship. This is such a key principle to learn especially working with bodies in high stress, and disregulation. For this segment we use both the Franklin Method and SomaSoul® Somatic therapy wellbeing practices to work with this highly sensitive structure.

  • Practical application: Leave with embodied understanding and tools you can use immediately in your own practice, teaching, or daily life. And discover there is more to the psoas than simply stretching it!

  • The felt experience: This is not theory, and. not an anatomy lesson. Every concept is explored through movement, sensation, and your own direct experience.

    Perfect for:

  • Pilates teachers, yoga teachers, somatic educators, dancers, and movement professionals seeking to deepen their understanding of functional anatomy from the inside out. Also for curious movers who want to reconnect with their body’s intelligence and feel more grounded, regulated, and at ease.

    Why This Intensive

The psoas is often talked about but rarely felt. Most movement teaching focuses on external anatomy - but the psoas responds beautifully to embodied awareness, imagery, and the nervous system work that Franklin Method offers.

Sarah has spent over a decade integrating Franklin Method® with somatic therapy practice. She is one of a tiny number of 1st Generation Franklin Method® trained educators in the UK and one of jjust a few Level 4 Expert Educators in the world today.

This intensive brings together:

  • Expert anatomical knowledge grounded in Franklin Method’s dynamic imagery approach

  • Somatic awareness and master level nervous system understanding from her SomaSoul® and ISMETA Master Somatic Movement Therapy and Master Somatic Movement Educator credentials

  • Years of experience teaching within Pilates as well as teaching Pilates teachers, dancers, and practitioners

  • A teaching style focused on clarity, embodiment, and felt understanding - not abstract theory

  • Small group (4 people) means real attention, real questions, real depth.

“I attended Sarah’s somatic event the Felt Heart in February. Sarah created a safe and welcoming space for us. We learnt about our heart and breath. We did gentle movement and journaling. I really started to understand how to move and breathe in an embodied way. I now have some tools to help me when I am overwhelmed. I highly recommend Sarah. She is kind and very skilled.”

“I attended your pelvic floor workshop about a month ago, and I wanted to thank you again. It was truly eye-opening for me, and I deeply value everything I learned. I can honestly say that the embodied approach you teach feels like something my body needs and deserves - especially after years of pushing my body and dealing with pudendal nerve inflammation a little over two years ago”.
